Nightdive Studios has officially confirmed the remaster of the classic 1998 first person shooter Forsaken. Forsaken Remastered will be coming out on July 31st for Windows PC on both Steam and GOG.com, and Xbox One.

Watch the announcement trailer below.

Forsaken was a first-person shooter offering six degrees of motion and perspective, building on the tradition and appeal of titles like Descent. It launched on Nintendo 64, Windows PC and PlayStation in April and May of 1998. Forsaken was one of the few games that took full advantage and showcased what 3D hardware accelerators like 3DFX Voodoo and PowerVR – could achieve back in the days, featuring some truly impressive visual effects.

The remaster will preserve the original polygon count of objects in the game, but  thanks to the Kex remastering engine, it will all perform at 60 frames per second.
