Bethesda announced recently that highly anticipated titles such as Doom Eternal, Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot and Wolfenstein: Youngblood are launching on steam. Bethesda is also going to retroactively launch Fallout 76 on Steam later this year
To quote Bethesda’s own twitter handle, “We’re pleased to announce that RAGE 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and DOOM Eternal will be released on Steam as well as https://beth.games/2Mhhqoi . We will also be bringing Fallout 76 to Steam later this year.”
With Epic store pulling shenanigans to get more exclusives to their store, Bethesda has gone the consumer-friendly route and made their game available on Steam along with their own launcher, which at this point is essentially a buggy web app. This is a strong sign for the future of PC gaming.
