The Trine trio returns once again to take players on another magical 2.5D adventure. The cunning thief Zoya, brave knight Pontius, and wise wizard Amadeus will each master new tricks as they reunite for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince’s engrossing tale: Zoya will add elemental arrows to her quiver and levitating capabilities to her versatile rope; Pontius’ trusty blade will pack a shocking charge while his shield enables dream-like replicas of itself; and Amadeus will learn new conjurations plus a teleport-esque blink ability. All these, and much more, can be seen in the new Overview Trailer:
Players are free to experience the world in their way, making their journey their own, through each hero’s unique skill trees. The game’s puzzles change depending on how many players are in a party, too; go it alone for total control and on-the-fly hero swapping, enjoy the series’ classic three-player design, or take on chaotic fun in the series’ first four-player multiplayer mode, where any combination of duplicate heroes is fair game.
And although Trine 4 is a standalone experience, players can also experience the complete series in its entirety with the Trine Ultimate Collection, which includes Trine Enhanced Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, and Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power.
Pre-purchasing Trine: Ultimate Collection on PlayStation 4 also gets you instant access to Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, and Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power. All digital pre-orders will also include launch day access to the bonus DLC level Toby’s Dream. For more details on all pre-order offers, visit https://modusgames.com/trine-4-pre-order-guide/.
Trine 4 comes out this October 8th on PS4, Xbox One, Steam and Switch. The game is priced at $30 / ₹700. Pre-order the game now through their website.
