Hitman has been gaining a lot of hype since it’s initial reveal and the new reboot is promising a new high in all aspects of the game that made the previous entries awesome. The system requirements of the game have been released and we thought we would shed some light on what you’ll need to run the game.
Minimum:
OS: OS 64-bit Windows 7
Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz /
AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 / Radeon HD 7870
DirectX: Version 11
The minimum system requirements make it seem like we are back in 2015. With Tomb Raider and if we include Dragon’s Dogma, we saw that they had minimum requirements which were quite low- i3, GTX 650 and 6 GB RAM. We are not complaining, but an i5-2500 and a GTX 660 have a lot of horsepower and it means that the game is either very good looking and physics intensive or the game is poorly optimized for the PC. We can safely say that a mid ranged i3 and any GPU with DDR5 RAM will be able to run it at lower resolutions. Maybe the higher versions of the Nvidia GT series such as GT 840 would be able to run it. Whatever the case, nothing can be said unless the game is released.
Recommended:
OS: OS 64-bit Windows 7 / 64-bit Windows 8
(8.1) or Windows 10
Processor: Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz /
AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770 / AMD GPU Radeon R9 290
DirectX: Version 11
The recommended requirements are not very surprising considering the fact that the minimum requirements are so high. One surprising fact though is the recommended GPUs. Hardware wise an R9 290 is considerably more powerful than a GTX 770. Maybe this is another case of low optimization for AMD users. But if the PC port is good enough, nobody will complain about such high requirements. Let’s hope for the best.
We are excited for the game and are also hoping that the developers don’t screw up the PC port. The requirements may seem a bit high but that doesn’t affect the excitement we have for the game.
