It seems like Hitman 2, the sequel to 2016’s episodic Hitman game, has been leaked ahead of E3 2018. An image Hitman 2 logo has appeared on the Warner Bros Games Live website. WB was seen entering into a publishing agreement with IO Interactive last year.
Square Enix published the latest Hitman game in an episodic form. However, IO Interactive then acquired the rights of the Hitman IP from Square Enix and has been handling it since June 2017.
The image is buried in a media link while the main site still shows a countdown for a new racing game which is to be announced in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether this sequel will be Hitman: Season 2 or an entire new direction for the long-running franchise.
UPDATE: Warner Bros. has now removed the logo indicating they weren’t teasing the game but it was actually a mistake.
Stay tuned for more information.
