The highly anticipated final season of Fire Force is finally here! And boy, the first episode did NOT hold back. Before we head in, a big thanks to Crunchyroll Canada for the early access! For those wanting a small recap before the review, a summary has been provided at the very end 😀

Pacing and Content
The first episode starts off strong, with tight narration that blends a recap of Seasons 1 and 2 into the thickening plot. It moves briskly, with rising tensions, but cleverly balances backstory and new developments in a way that helps recall previous events and while marching forward.
Though, some may still find the pace to be a little too fast. For those jumping in right after a binge, the episode doesn’t feel repetitive, while old-timers starting directly with Season 3 will be quickly brought up to speed without feeling lost. And I appreciate this fine blend, accommodating all kinds of viewers for the final season premiere.
Animations, Audio, and OSTs
The animation leaves little to critique—it’s as visually stunning as ever, if not more. In a year crowded with new titles, I personally found it standing out for its detailing; the sheer love poured into every frame could be seen. It’s genuinely refreshing to see such care and consistency maintained across seasons.
The soundtracks are quite thoughtfully placed, without ever feeling overbearing or out of place. It sets the right mood for the episode and compliments the fast-paced narrative. The unique audio engineering (granted, not everyone’s cup of tea) puts one right back into the world of Fire Force, and by the end, I was giddy and already looking forward to more! The Japanese dub is up to mark as well, keeping the energy and tone sharp as ever.
Final Verdict
Fire Force has maintained its force, with solid animations, sharp narration, and explosive action. I genuinely looking forward to more episodes and hopeful for a satisfying conclusion to what’s been an incredibly fun ride. For manga fans who haven’t checked out the anime yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot since it’s one of the adaptations that managed to accomplish a rare feat: it has an excellent adaptation!
Additional: A Small Recap Before Sitting With Season 3
Let’s be real. If you’re like me, you’ll find yourself re-watching Fire Force right from the very first episode; nothing beats a binge to celebrate a new season! But for those short on time, I’ll do my best to give a summary. For such a complexly built story, it does get difficult to write the perfect summary, so I apologise in advance >_<
We saw Season 1 kick off with Shinra Kusakabe joining Company 8 – a special fire brigade fighting humans who combust into fire demons called Infernals – and uncover the truth behind his family’s death. Alongside teammates like Arthur, Maki, Obi, and Hinawa, Shinra investigates the cause of human combustion and uncovers the rise of the White-Clad, a doomsday cult serving a mysterious Evangelist. He also discovers his brother Sho is alive and a commander in the enemy ranks, leading to a brutal confrontation where Shinra briefly reaches him through Adolla Link.
In Season 2, Company 8 uncovers more about the White-Clad’s plans to recreate the Great Cataclysm and the role of Adolla Bursts in their scheme. Shinra undergoes intense training with Captain Benimaru to push his powers further and unlock Hysterical Strength, while new characters like the unpredictable Inca and the sadistic Kurono are introduced. The Fire Force uncovers growing ties between the White-Clad and powerful organizations like Haijima Industries and the Holy Sol Temple, and as the Evangelist’s plans advance, Company 8 prepares for a much bigger conflict slowly creeping up on them.
