Square Enix started its Final Fantasy journey in early 2000s and still releasing its line up on next gen consoles. As the publisher, on their official Japanese site, had announced that its great and beloved role-playing classic game, Final Fantasy IX , is headed towards PCs and Smart phones.
Earlier this December, Square Enix released Final Fantasy VI, on Steam, joining its line up with Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and others.
Its odd to see that they directly jumped on Final Fantasy IX for a modern console release, before having a look on its previous entry in the series(Final Fantasy VIII) which was released two years ago.
But there are no words on its west release(duh!!), as they announced it in Japan for PC, iOS and soon for Android.
And its still unknown, when will it strikes in 2016 as its just an announcement.
