Battlestate Games today announced that their massively popular hardcore PVP shooter Escape From Tarkov’s Arena mode is gearing up for launch on the Epic Games Store. The official release date of Escape From Tarkov: Arena is yet to be announced, but you can now add the game to your wishlist on the store page here.
Players will be able to purchase a digital copy of the game in the store, but installation, launching, and updates will still be handled through the Battlestate Games launcher, which requires an Escape from Tarkov account.
Recently, the first iteration of the Battlestate Games Account Center became available to players. Its main goal is to simplify the user experience and provide even greater protection for user data.
Currently, the Account Center allows you to:
- Link and verify the connection between your EFT account and your Twitch profile.
- Register and log in to EFT and EFT: Arena projects;
- Apply additional security settings to your profile and change your existing password.
Escape from Tarkov: Arena combines the hardcore mechanics of Escape from Tarkov and fast-paced gameplay of session matches, offering players a new perspective on the Tarkov universe.
According to game director Nikita Buyanov, “This is not just a step forward but a natural evolution for the game and its community. Epic Games Store is a reliable partner and a great platform that will help introduce Arena to a new audience and lay the groundwork for future releases on other platforms.”
“We continue to explore all available opportunities and, as always, will keep players informed about our next steps. Very soon, a new patch will be released for EFT: Arena, launching the first season of the Battle Pass, adding long-awaited weapon and gear customization, and bringing many other improvements. Most likely, this update will coincide roughly with the game’s release on EGS”, Buyanov added.
