A pleasant surprise for every Indian gamer (or professional who uses a VoIP system for communication) was waiting on Discord today. Opening Discord and seeing the option for changing the server region to India was indeed a much welcome change.
There may be slight delays and server lag though out the day as the Indian servers struggle to accommodate the rush. A bit of fiddling about did show that the bots connected to the server have a delay in response, which is more annoying for music bots. The issues are supposed to be smoothed out over time.
Discord getting Indian servers for the region is a welcome change indeed. Hopefully this sets a precedent for the untapped market potential of the country, and more companies start making the shift (looking at you, Twitch).
