IO interactive has recently announced a new Hitman game to be in development. The awkwardly titled Hitman 2 (the 7th game in the series to be precise) will be a direct sequel to 2016’s Hitman.

Fans will be pleased to hear that David Bateson, the iconic voice behind agent 47 will reprise this role as the bald, bar-coded assassin once more. Hollywood actor David Bateson has been the voice behind the suave assassin Agent 47 since the series’ inception in 2000.

Bateson was originally supposed to be replaced in 2012’s Hitman: Absolution, but fan uproar caused Square Enix to once again hire Bateson as the voice actor. Bateson’s deep and slow voice has been one of the highlights of the Hitman series and the fans wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hitman 2 ditches the episodic format of its predecessor and is set for a November 13 2018 release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
