Valve is making games again, and the first title that they had announced after a long time is Artifact, a card game based on the worldwide phenomenon called DOTA 2. Artifact proposes to change the trading card game meta, offering new mechanics to all players. With the Artifact beta fast closing in, and players being eager for more footage of the game, a preview tournament will take place on November 10 and November 11 to show off some more gameplay.

The tournament, hosted by Beyond the Summit and broadcast on SteamTV, the all-draft event will be played in the Swiss bracket. The stream begins both days at 9AM PST. The game will feature 128 players with a prize pool of $10,000 up for grabs.

Also, since the Artifact twitter had mentioned that there might be “more ways” of getting beta keys (except from third party resellers, where there is no guarantee of not getting ripped off), so watching the tournament might provide ways of acquiring beta keys for anyone who weren’t PAX attendees. There’s no explicit mention that keys are going to be given away, so don’t get your hopes up just now.
