Dark Light

With Arkham Knight getting ready for release on June 2, 2015, both Rocksteady and DC comics have decided to step it up a little bit. DC have announced a special prequel comic to Arkham Knight which would take place directly after Arkham City and will lead into Arkham Knight.

The comic book will be set in Rocksteady’s Gotham. With the Joker dead, and Arkham Prison City Complex closed, Bruce ponders whether its time to hang up the cape for good. But new trouble begins to stir, all of which lead to the rise of the titular Arkham Knight. While you go over whether this comic is your cup of tea, you can check out the 3rd part of the ACE Chemical Trailer from the Arkham Knight below:

This wont be the first time DC has complimented a video game with comic books. Injustice also had a prequel comic book leading upto the events in the game. Even Arkham City (the last Batman game developed by Rocksteady) had a comic book tie in. The 2 comics were pretty good, and weren’t like the normal crap that you get for most other video game comic tie ups.

The comic will be written by Peter J. Tomasi (Batman And Robin), while the art would be in the hands of Viktor Bogdanovic and Art Thibert. The covers of the comic book will be designed by Dan Panosian. So it looks like the comic is in good hands.

The comic book will be a digital first issue and #1 will be hitting stores on 24th February 2015.
