Activision has officially unveiled the new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at Tokyo Game Show 2026, giving fans a closer look at the game’s story, characters, and large-scale conflicts.
The campaign continues the story of Captain Price following the events of Modern Warfare III. With Task Force 141 disbanded, Price has gone rogue and is operating outside official command. His former teammates, Ghost and Gaz, are ordered to track him down, putting the members of the former team on opposing sides.

At the same time, a major conflict breaks out on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a full-scale invasion of South Korea. Players will experience the conflict alongside South Korean forces and U.S. Marines as they fight to defend the region. Price’s mission also leads him into an unlikely partnership with Valeria Garza, the leader of the Las Almas Cartel and a former adversary. Their uneasy alliance becomes important as a much larger threat begins to emerge.

The trailer introduces a mysterious weapon of war and an unknown enemy known as the Archer. The weapon’s purpose and the Archer’s plans remain largely unexplained, adding another mystery to the campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, with eligible digital pre-orders receiving Campaign Early Access from October 16.
