PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is living proof that hype can do anything, and that includes driving a game to the top of the Steam charts, with the largest playerbase on the planet. Guess what? It’s getting a new map this December when it releases from Early Access, and also some sweet improvements to the stability of the game, besides (hopefully) optimization of the graphics engine. But for now, the desert map looks a decent map, and is a good break from the map that we play everyday.
A few screenshots of the new map which have been shown by PUBG Corporation :
A new map, and possibly a way to select which game modes (another mode is upcoming, which adds a night mode) to play in, will certainly expand the player base even further, only if they stick to their promise of optimizing the game and fixing the numerous bugs and glitches players face every day in-game.
With that being said, hopefully the new map gives me enough strength to try for a chicken dinner, that is, if the buildings render before I hit the ground.
