This is probably the highest that any budgeted person will go. We will do a dream PC and console level PC in the upcoming weeks, but for today we have this build for 1.3L INR
CPU- Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Not much to say here.It will have been an overkill, if you are going to only be playing games, and is the best processor you can get for home uses and if you are looking for a one time investment, this will last you several years from now.
Motherboard- Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151
One of the better motherboards at a lower cost, it supports the Skylake processors (Obviously), 64 GB of DDR4 RAM at various frequencies,a SLI and Crossfire support, it has enough for future upgrades.
GPU- Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Founders Edition
There is nothing to say about this. You will practically be able to breeze through any game for the quite a few years on 1440p. It is also ready for VR if you are into that stuff.
RAM- G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
For the RAM, I went with the 2 stick just for maximum efficiency. You can go for higher quantity of RAM or higher frequency if it suits your budget, but this get’s the job done pretty perfectly.
Storage- Variables:
Just like the previous post, Here I decided to give people some options so as to optimize the PC for the users’ needs.
Option 1:
1 TB WD Caviar Blue 7200 RPM HDD with 120 GB Sandisk SSD
This option is for those people who value performance over storage, and for the users, who play only 1-2 games at a time and the OS (Depending on the size), it may be wise to get a SSD to increase performance and HDD can be used for game backups and other entertainment sources like movies, songs etc.
Option2:
This is for those who want to maximize the storage options. Just get two WD Caviar Blues 1 TB each, will come for the same price approximately. I’m suggesting two because even though the failure or corruption of these HDDs are very low, it’ll be good that you don’t lose all your data at once.
Cabinet- Cooler Master HAF 912 USB3.0 ATX Mid Tower Case
The case does not look that good aesthetically but does the job pretty well. It comes with a nice bit of hardware including a 3.5-2.5 adapter. The included fans are quiet and the case has excellent airflow because of it’s large mesh design and lots of spots for extra fans. There is also a lot of room on the inside for lots of HDDs, custom water-cooling and whatever else.
PSU- SeaSonic EVO Edition 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
The whole system requires about 370W and this power supply supports everything in the above build and will also support any future upgrade except a multi GPU config.
Total Cost On Amazon: INR 1,25,522
Just like the previous 60K build, these are Amazon prices and you can get the PC for a tad bit less if you are to buy from the local market. I’ve not included the LAN cards and the optical drives because;
i) WLAN cards are very cheap these days and any basic LAN card will do.
ii) Optical Drives are obsolete (And cheap as well). If you’ll be buying games from Steam there’s no point of a CD Drive. And anyways, these days with the release of humongous patches, you’ll be required to download GBs and GBs of data, for which Steam would be better and hence the point of an optical drive is almost none.
iii) Also we have not considered the cost of an OS, which retails for around 5-6K. Going strictly with PC parts, this build is done well within the budget. The corners you could cut would be the cabinet, but make sure that you get a well ventilated one.
This PC will give you a constant 60 FPS on 1080p on Ultra settings in all the games (Except unoptimized ones) and will be able to run many games on 2K with medium to high settings and decent FPS. Hi, have you tried the build yourself? I mean I want to see a completed product with all of these parts in a video or something running a few basic tests for benchmarking the build.
No I haven’t used the build. But there is no compatibility issues. Check out the benchmarks on YouTube for now. We will be doing benchmarks with rigs in the future.
