505 Games has officially confirmed that a sequel to WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is now in development, with series creator Xia Siyuan returning to lead the project through his new studio, Indolphinity.

The publisher announced that it has entered into a development and publishing agreement with Chengdu-based Indolphinity, a studio founded by Xia following the release of the original game. Under the new partnership, Indolphinity will oversee development while 505 Games will fund and publish the sequel worldwide.
The announcement follows Digital Bros Group’s acquisition of the WUCHANG intellectual property earlier this year. As part of the agreement, the company will also establish a new subsidiary in Chengdu to work alongside the development team and support future projects.
Released in July 2025, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers quickly found an audience, reaching more than 131,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch before surpassing five million players across PC and consoles.
According to 505 Games, the sequel will continue to draw heavily from Chinese history and culture, with creative development remaining in China under Xia and his team. The publisher says the partnership is intended to preserve the series’ original creative direction while expanding the franchise for a global audience.
“We strongly believe in WUCHANG as a long-term global franchise,” said Digital Bros co-CEO Raffi Galante. “Our priority has been to safeguard and amplify the original creative vision while equipping the development team with the resources and publishing expertise needed to succeed worldwide.”
Xia Siyuan said the new studio will continue to build on the cultural identity that defined the original game, adding that player feedback will play an important role in shaping the sequel.
No release window or gameplay details were announced, but 505 Games says development is now underway, marking the beginning of the next chapter for the WUCHANG series.
