CI Games has confirmed that Lords of the Fallen 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, marking the first time the soulslike series will be released on a Nintendo platform. The announcement was made during the latest Nintendo Direct, where the publisher debuted new gameplay footage from the action RPG. The game is scheduled to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, alongside previously announced versions for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

According to CI Games, the Switch 2 version is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and is targeting 30 FPS in both handheld and docked modes. The studio says the port makes use of Nanite and Lumen technologies, with additional optimization work carried out in collaboration with Epic Games and Nintendo.

The sequel builds on 2023’s Lords of the Fallen, which recently surpassed 8 million players. CI Games says it has incorporated community feedback gathered since launch, as well as lessons learned from the dozens of updates released for the original game.

On the gameplay side, Lords of the Fallen II promises faster and more responsive combat, expanded abilities, new execution mechanics, and a larger enemy roster spread across biome-specific regions. The developer is also touting more dynamic boss encounters, an expanded Umbral realm, and shared-progression co-op available at launch.

“This marks the first time that Nintendo players will explore the realms of Axiom and Umbral,” game director James Lowe said in a statement, adding that the team is working to ensure the experience translates well to Nintendo’s new hardware.

Lords of the Fallen II is now available to wishlist on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. A specific release date has not yet been announced beyond its 2026 launch window.
