Ben Starr is no stranger to being a part of large video game titles. He is the voice of Clive Rosefield in popular action RPG Final Fantasy XVI, the title which debuted his entry into the gaming industry. His recent rise to glory was definitely as the voice of Verso from Expedition 33, a performance that got him Best Supporting Performer at the Golden Joystick Awards.
However, little was known about his involvement in the new gaming title Marathon. Marathon, officially announced at PlayStation’s State of Play, is a Destiny-esque online shooter based on the derelict colony of Tau Ceti IV. Ben is reportedly playing the voice of Durandal in the game, some of which have leaked online. Two sentences, “You should not have come here” and “You walk across your tomb” have been leaked online, and they definitely give one the shivers.
Marathon is set to release for PC and consoles on March 5, 2026. Having such a heavy voice actor as Ben Starr behind the wheels definitely accelerates the interest in the game – a game which has revealed little other than the borderline eerie setting and the intense survival on a derelict colony planet.
